Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We've done it! 12 women, 2 dogs, a great support team, 30 miles and over £5000 raised!
We set out from Uphill to walk the West Mendip Way at 7am on Saturday morning and were greeted on Wells Cathedral Green by friends and family on Sunday afternoon. We've got blisters and aching limbs and we've found out what we are made of! Each person faced their own personal challenges to complete the walk and the weather threw a bit of everything at us. We've had an amazing weekend of friendship and fun and enjoyed bits of the Mendip Hills we never knew existed.
A huge thank you to everyone who has encouraged us, sponsored us, looked after us and helped us along the way. Please read on....
We were motivated to do the walk to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association to support research into the causes and to find a cure for this horrible disease. Each step was inspired by my mum Edna Hopkins and the way she is bravely living with the disease.
All the money raised will be used by the MNDA to fund research into the causes of the disease, to find a treatment and to support people and their families who are living with it.
So thank you for supporting us in whatever way you have. It's possible to make a donation for a few more weeks!
With love and thanks, Karen and the Likely Lasses
