As you may have noticed, I have not been my usual night owl, wine quaffing, cigarette smoking self as of late. This is because I am in training for the LEEDS HALF MARATHON on 10th May 2009. Despite what the papers may say: many of our clients have no access to public funds including; benefits, NHS support, housing or legal representation. Refused asylum seekers who can't return home usually because it's not safe are not allowed to work and frequently sleep rough. They come into our offices, many are distressed, many with urgent physical and/or mental health issues. Some women have small children; some have been raped or physically abused.
