Story

Brighton to London "BTL" (and the bit in between) 2014

This year Anthony Nolan has been nominated as the official London Marathon charity and I am once again going to run for such a fantastic cause – helping people with blood cancer.

Brighton 2 London
Brighton Marathon 2014 + London Marathon 2014
– oh and the 75 miles in between (all in a week)
This is what I aim to do:
Run the Brighton Marathon on Sunday April
Run from Brighton to London Excel Centre, arriving on Wednesday April 9 to collect my London Marathon entry number
Run London Marathon on 13th April
Total 128 miles! Yes, I'm mad!
It's seven years since I completed my first London marathon (which was for Anthony Nolan). Since then, I have run around 10 marathons, one ultra as well as numerous half marathons and many distances from 5k up.

It all started when I went to Slimming World  five years ago to help support my mum. I was inspired by our group leader Yvonne Love, who instilled in me the need to be fit as well as slim.

I started running and literally have have never looked back since  – joining local running clubs, Epsom Oddballs and Epsom Allsorts which has enabled me to make good friends as well as compete in numerous races and cross country championships. Latterly, I have joined my local British Military Fitness group in Cheam which has further motivated me as well as gaining good friends,

I would be grateful if you would support me in my latest and most difficult challenge to date for such a wonderful charity.
I have chosen to support Anthony Nolan, (which is 40 years old this year) again this year as it is a charity which is close to my family's heart and which we have actively supported for many years.

This is a huge challenge for me but one which will hopefully raise some much needed money for Anthony Nolan.
