This year there are a few people I'll be running for. One being my grandad who we sadly lost to cancer years ago and who I miss every day, and his brother, my Uncle Ray, an equally wonderful man. 

However since signing up for Race for Life my dad has been diagnosed with a brain tumour. Anyone who knows him will know what a fantastic man he is, with a fantastic sense of humour (that I obviously inherited) and a permanently positive attitude that has always taught us to make the most of life and the opportunities you're offered. Every penny raised goes towards this fantastic charity aimed at destroying cancer, a horrible disease that has been around far too long. 

 So if you fancy sponsoring me PLEASE do, I'm well known for being a horrifically lazy person so even walking 5k is sadly a big deal for me. I'll actually be jogging/running this now, I haven't done anything more than a swift walk for at least 10 years so wish me luck!
