On the 19th of May 2011 a group of currently unfit chaps will attempt to cycle from Big Ben in London to the Eifell Tower in Paris. We are hoping to achieve this over 4 gruelling days!
UPDATE: We made it! We all arrived safely on the 22nd May...tired and emotional. Huge thanks to all who sponsored us. If you havnt sponsored us its not too late! Every pound raised helps keep the air ambulance flying and saving lives. We produced a video of our journey..this can be seen at http://youtu.be/E-jZpWjGMXU
Riding are: Darren Bray, David Colman, Martin Bates, Darran Wathall, Dale Houlston, Mark Bembridge, Carl Jackson, Paul Blease, Kev Crossley, Shahid Shafiq, Alex Colman, Richard Steadman, Duncan Dales. (Support driver: Christian Dales)
Why are we doing this?
We are doing this to raise money for charity and personal achievement. Many of us have been touched by the loss of loved ones and the desire to help people and causes more needy than ourselves
We know these are difficult financial times but any sponsorship you can spare will help a collective of deserving charities and spurr us along to our destination! Thanks for your support!
We are also collecting for the Make a Wish Foundation and The Marie Curie Cancer Nurses
