Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We all completed the challenge in the time allowed.
Linda and Paul finished in 43 hours and 30 mins and Anne took 47 hours to complete 100.5 miles. That extra 0.5 mile was a killer.
All was going well up to 35 miles when the rain started and continued all night long. Rain = Wet Socks = Blisters Big Time !!
We all suffered but Linda had blisters on her blisters. Windsor, our end point, was a most welcome sight
We have now all recovered and may even walk again. Another 100 miler, well who knows!!
Thank you all so very much for your donations and your messages of good luck and encouragement. I know this helped to keep us going when things got tough.
I am taking part in The LDWA Games 100 over the weekend of 2nd-4th June 2012. The challenge is to walk 100 miles in 48 hours or less. The walk starts near the Olympic Stadium, passes through Surrey and eventually finishes in Windsor. See http://www.ldwa.org.uk/2012Hundred for more details.
