<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit the CIO Finance and Risk Cardiff Half Marathon JustGiving page.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-size: medium; font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial;">A few of us have registered to run the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday 16<sup>th</sup> October and we will be running for The Polycystic Kidney Disease charity <a href="http://www.pkdcharity.co.uk/">http://www.pkdcharity.co.uk/</a>. </span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-size: medium; font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial;">This is a charity close to Linda Cooke’s heart as her brother has the disease. It is a disease </span></span><span style="font-size: medium; font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: EN;" lang="EN">in which fluid-filled cysts develop in both kidneys </span></span><span style="font-size: medium; font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial;">causing total kidney failure. Transplant is the only option to extend the individuals life expectancy as there is no cure. Linda’s brother had a transplant in 2008 which unfortunately has started to fail and he will need another one this year. </span></span></p>
