Thanks for taking the time to visit the CIO Finance and Risk Cardiff Half Marathon JustGiving page.

A few of us have registered to run the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday 16 October and we will be running for The Polycystic Kidney Disease charity http://www.pkdcharity.co.uk/.

 

This is a charity close to Linda Cooke’s heart as her brother has the disease. It is a disease in which fluid-filled cysts develop in both kidneys causing total kidney failure. Transplant is the only option to extend the individuals life expectancy as there is no cure. Linda’s brother had a transplant in 2008 which unfortunately has started to fail and he will need another one this year.
