Welcome to the donation page for The Ben Novices, Linklaters Three Peaks Challenge Team. Thank you for visiting this page and hopefully donating lots of money!
The Three Peaks Challenge is the classic mountain challenge event. You and your team have 24 hours in which to climb the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales, respectively.
I should imagine this is not usually the sort of challenge you would expect a team of IT people to embark upon! The traditional image of geeks blinking in the sunlight will be well and truly left behind when our team of 8 plus 2 support crew set off to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon all in the space of 24 hours. Training has started and will include a series of several 2 hour walks over barely undulating local routes for equipment familiarisation, through May, progressing to longer and steeper efforts in June and early July.
We will no doubt have a few emotional words to say in the run up to and after the event so please stay tuned to see how well us geeks get on with this daunting challenge!
