Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
We are a group of Mini and Youth Rugby coaches that for some reason once again this season want to go out there and flog ourselves into the ground.
On the 19th July 2009 we will be entering the Princess Alice Hospice Dragon Boat Race, hopefully we will come through this alive and with a little piece of dignity left.
As a club we coach over a 100 children a week and look to continue that next season with even more, so some of us will still be on shore in case the boat goes under to keep the club alive.
Momentum assists children undergoing treatment and their families in the following ways:
Through the provision of equipment and the improvement of the facilities in local hospitals, where children undergoing cancer treatment will typically spend prolonged periods. Currently we are working with the Paediatric Department at Kingston Hospital.
By organising events at which children with cancer and their siblings have the opportunity to meet with other children who share their circumstances.
By offering mutual support for parents and families.
I know times are quite hard at the moment but it is times like these that show how caring and thoughtful we all are, so even if it is a couple of pound that you can donate it will be very much appreciated.
So have fun and thank you for popping on by.
If you do want a laugh come down to Canbury gardens in Kingston upon Thames on the 19th July and watch a bunch of 30 and 40 somethings attempt to get a boat down the river as quickly as possible.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Momentum gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
