I'm a lucky girl.
I won a Daily Telegraph competition to sail the first leg of the Clipper Round The World yacht challenge. Humber to Brazil. Wow!
So my goal is to raise the equivalent in prize value for the Clipper official charity. A big challenge in these credit crunch times, but I'm up for it. Sponsorship. An auction. And whatever else it takes.
Including my first half marathon. A pretty route. Along the Thames towpath from Marlow to Windsor. Every mile will be tough. I average a 10 minute mile, which means running for over two hours. Crikes. Maybe I should speed up.
Your support will help hugely. And it will help disadvantaged children too. Dig deep, because I will need to. Huge thanks.
