Story
On 22 April 2007 I, along with thousands of other crazy people, will be pounding the streets of London running the London Marathon in an effort to raise money for charity.
I will be running to raise money for Scope. Scope is the UK's leading charity working with children and adults with cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy is a physical condition that makes muscles hard to control. People with cerebral palsy often find it hard to communicate or get around by themselves.
One in every 400 children born in the UK has cerebral palsy. From the moment of diagnosis, Scope works tirelessly to offer the whole family the support they need. Scope funds specialist schools and colleges, skills development centres and a daily living service in an effort to help those suffering from cerebral palsy to lead as normal and independent life as possible.
Giving up a few months of my life to train for the marathon is nothing compared to the hard work that everyone involved with Scope puts in every day. Please give generously - every penny really does count and with your help I am hoping to smash my £1,500 target.
Thank you for your support and I hope to see lots of you there on the day to cheer me on.
