Little Bike Trip - John O'Groats to Land's End · 11 July 2008

We've been providing tailored and holistic care to those in need in the Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset area for over 40 years. At your home or ours, we provide care without prejudice, regardless of condition, religion, beliefs or age - and always with your best interests at heart.

Story

Hello, thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

We completed The Little Bike trip on April 8th 2009

We started cycled from John O' Groats to Land's End in August 2008, we completed half  of the distance in August and then completed the second leg in April 2009, in total we cycled 1100miles, all by bike.

By doing the ride we hope to raise money for St Peter's Hospice.  In 2007 my Uncle Keith stayed at St Peter's after being diagnosed with a condition called Amyloidosis, a rare disease that affects your bone marrow. Keith very sadly lost the battle against his illness and we all miss him so much.

St Peter's Hospice is an amazing place, with calm, friendly people, who give you great care and support, both as a patient and as a relative, when facing the most difficult of times. St Peter's is funded entirely by donations and receives no financial support from the government, despite providing a crucial service to many families.

Keith loved motorbikes and I remember going for my first ride on the back of his bike as a kid. Whilst we may not have motor power on this ride, we do have pedal power!  I think that Keith would approve very much of our bike trip and I hope we can raise lots of money for St Peter's on the way.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: St Peter's Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thanks for your support!
