We are the only national charity solely dedicated to fighting loneliness and acute isolation in old age. We organise regular, monthly tea parties on a Sunday afternoon in the homes of our volunteers across the UK. These outings are a ray of light in the lives of older people living alone; giving them something to look forward to in the knowledge that someone cares and the opportunity to make new and lasting friendships with fellow guests and our volunteers.

My story

HEY HEY!!!

I know, how strange, Liv is running a marathon!

I have chosen to raise money for Contact the Elderly as it is a really small charity that does AMAZING things. The charity itself organises regular outings for small groups of isolated, older people. It provides a lifeline to the forgotten and helps lonely people living on their own to get out and socialise.

My Grandpa really enjoyed the new social life this charity provided him with. It is doing a fantastic thing for older people.
