I can honestly say that the day all Ella's hair fell out was one of the most distressing moments of our cancer journey.. she and I sobbed together as I combed her hair and dropped the brushloads that came out into a bag...  it filled a carrier bag full because her hair was so thick and beautiful.   We cried, then hugged and dried our tears and Ella put on her brave face - helped in part by Joni Mai and ELin on the ward who had faced the same trauma.. that night I emailed Wendy and the very next day, we were in a salon in London choosing a wig..  Ella didn't wear it for long, eventually choosing a hat - but the hair was SO important at that time.. she wore it to the Park Club and someone completely unaware commented on how shiny her hair was which made us smile!   If anyone is thinking of cutting their long hair - please do consider donating to The Little Princess Trust..  or for more information please visit the website www.littleprincesstrust.org.uk
