Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Members of the Liver Unit at the Royal Free is participating in a 10K run in October to raise money for our liver unit. All donations will go to Fund 195 and the money will be used for new equipment, further education and clinical research.

The Liver Unit is an integral part at the Royal Free and has been providing liver services, including transplantation for over 20 years. The liver unit was initially established by Dame Sheila Sherlock the' Mother of Hepatology' and continues to provide a world class liver service and is at the cutting edge for liver research.

Liver disease is the 5th commonest cause of death in people under 65 in the UK, despite this it is not a high priority for government and medical research funding. We at the Royal Free strive to provide the best possible liver service and liver research. WE NEED YOUR HELP!
