How this came about:

I committed myself to organising this event as a result of attending the wonderful Aspire women's conference in November last year. With over 25 years experience/passion for women's development and a regular supporter of Womankind Worldwide, I wanted to create a fun, inspiring and developmental day for women of all ages amongst my network ...and to raise money in support of our courageous sisters who are making a positive difference in a country that was recently voted most dangerous place to be a woman.

I'm also doing this in memory of my mum, Mary Woollard, who died in 2007 having suffered terribly from dementia in her latter years. She was my first female role model, believed in me totally and encouraged me to think that I could achieve anything if I set my mind to it. So this is for you too mum!
