These last two years, 2 of my very good friends and a very special family member have been and are being treated by Christies. Hearing the news that my friends and members of my family have cancer and leukemia was earth shattering for everyone concerned. Knowing that there is nothing I could do to help them was awful. We all felt so useless and so after a drunken night we (Amanda and I) decided we would do a half marathon. We went about recruiting other people. I was amazed at how many good people immediately said yes to raising money for Christies. The training is hard, but whenever I feel like giving up, I remember that people fighting against cancer can't stop and they can't give in.
