Alzheimer's Society - Inca trail challenge · 8 May 2010 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

I need your help!

In May 2010 I will be taking part in a charity trek in Peru with Alzheimer's Society.

I am doing this for my Nana who died after suffering with this terrible illness for over four years.  I was six at the time and although I didn’t understand much of what was going on, I do remember the heartache and pain it caused not only my Nana, but my mum who was Primary carer and myself and my sister.

As part of a group organised by the Alzheimer’s Society I will travel to and Cusco in and spend five days trekking. Some days we are expected to trek for 10 to 12 hours, reaching heights of 4,490m!

I need to raise a minimum of £3,200 in sponsorship.  I will pay £1,400 which will cover travel and accommodation and aim to raise the other £1,800 in sponsors.  This is a huge amount of money so please dig deep.  Every penny counts and no matter the size of your donation, all are greatly received.

I thank you in advance and if you want any more details, please email me at: elizabeth.a.gregory@hotmail.co.uk with your enquiries.
