My story
We wanted to give something back this year and challenge ourselves physically (what with it being the Olympic year) so a few of us who met In Australia have decided to do the London to Brighton challenge! It is 100k and we aim to walk it in under 24 hours. As we are not naturally athletic, we have entered into a rigourous (yes, rigorous) training programme in order to complete the challenge.
We decided on raising for the Caldecott Foundation because our good friend David Ian Hills works for them and we feel the work they do is very worthy.
About the Charity: Many of the children and young people cared for by the Caldecott Foundation have suffered neglect, abuse (verbal, physical and sexual) and suffered multiple breakdowns within the family setting, foster care and education. These are some of the most vulnerable children in the country. .
Please dig deep and donate - we have a target of £750 to raise but would obviously like to raise as much as we can!

After 28 hours and 100km, we all made in one piece (essentially!). Thanks to everyone who has already donated - hopefully we will reach the £1000 mark soon!

It helps the country’s most vulnerable children who have suffered extremes of abuse, cruelty and neglect. It provides the specialist residential care, education and therapy necessary to help these children build a better life and where possible return to a family environment.
