Story

Great British Adventure for Liz and Robin

At 3 p.m. on Midsummer's Day, after cycling nearly 1200 miles, we freewheeled down into John O'Groats, past orchids at the roadside and with magnificent views of the Orkney Islands across Pentland Firth.

It had been a magical 4 weeks, exploring the length of our beautiful island.

Highlights included:-

- The beautiful Cornish and Devon lanes, impressive cathedrals and abbeys in Wells, Bath, and Gloucester

- The Shropshire Hills, Lake District, Southern Uplands, Western Lochs and wildness of Caithness

- Staying with friends along the way

- Meeting many wonderful people who tooted their horns and waved as we cycled up the hills

We have been delighted to raise awareness and funds for a charity which focuses on people by helping to save historic buildings for the enjoyment of local communities.

As you can see we've had some amazing support so far, and its not too late to help us so please feel free to make a donation for this excellent cause if you have not already done so.

Many thanks to all our generous supporters!
