Peru Trek 2006 · 14 September 2006 ·

People who are deafblind have substantial visual and hearing loss which causes extreme difficulty with communication, information and mobility. We aim to raise aspirations and expand the lives of Deafblind people, some of the least visible and most isolated members of society.

Story

Well, been there, done that and lived to tell the tale.  Trek was challenging to say the least.  Three peaks in three days and not one under 4,000m!   I was proud to be part of a 60-strong team with a 90% completion rate.  I took some personal time to visit the Amazon rainforest afterwards and found it an amazing experience.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.  This photo is from a maternity hospital in Malawi that I sponsor through work.  Too good not to share, woja reckon?

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Deafblind Scotland will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

This site will accept donations until 23 November 2006; but don't wait till then.  Why dont you  sponsor me now?

Many thanks for your support.
