My story

It has been a bad year for me so far, I made a speedy recovery from surgery to both feet at the end of January and my training was going  very well, up to 20miles a day! Then in early April I had an accident and came off my bike while training, breaking my arm & dislocating my shoulder badly. It has been a long painful 5 months due to the complications with my injury. I am still having treatment with twice weekly visits to the physio, hoping for a full recovery soon! Needless to say I have had to cancel my entry for the London to Paris Cycle Ride on the  28th to 31st August 2009. Because it has taken me so long to recover from the accident,  I feel London to Paris would be too stressful, so I plan to cycle Coast to Coast in June 2010, similar mileage but less traffic, so please keep supporting me with your donations. Looking on the bright side the delay should give me more time to raise the target even higher!!!!!!
            
As a 63 year old granny, I know I must be mad, but  this challenge is a personal one in memory my dear friend Sue Langman who fought for so long against cancer and is a thank you for the loving care she received at Rowcroft

In the current climate donations to Rowcroft have dropped dramatically, therefore every pound we can raise will benefit them greatly.
