I hadn't heard of Rett Syndrome until a little girl I work with was diagnosed with the condition. It is a rare disorder affecting mainly females, where major regression at around a year of age means acquired skills are lost. Rett Syndrome Research Trust UK funds research aiming to accelerate treatment for girls and women with the syndrome.

I'm aiming to raise both awareness of the syndrome and as much money as possible for RSRT UK by running the Great Eastern half marathon on 14th October in Peterborough so please give whatever you can spare! x
