The Stroke Association - Thames Bridges Bike Ride · 23 May 2010 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

I'm going to be cycling across London on Sunday 23rd May as part of a bid to raise money for The Stroke Association. I'll be peddling through 30 miles of the city, crossing 13 bridges and joining 2,000 other participants on this fantastic challenge. By sponsoring me, you're supporting a brilliant charity and their vital work combating stroke in people of all ages and offering help to those affected.

Every year an estimated 150,000 people in the UK have a stroke. Stroke has a greater disability impact than any other medical condition. A quarter of a million people are living with long-term disability as a result of stroke in the UK.

This is an amazing opportunity to support The Stroke Association and raise awareness of their work.

Thanks for sponsoring me!
