On 6th November 2011, I will be running the New York Marathon and I have chosen to raise money for a children's charitable fund set-up by good friends of mine, Dan and Lucy Walker, in memory of their son, Theo.

Since Theo passed away in Dec 2009, the fund established in his name, has raised just over £90,000 which has gone to help charities supporting children with life threatening and terminal illnesses.

All money raised for this event, in the name of the Theo Walker Fund, will be donated directly to the Child Bereavement Charity. The Child Bereavement Charity is the UK's leading charity that supports families and educates professionals both when a child dies and when a child is bereaved.

Anything you are able to give to the Theo Walker Fund will help to make a difference to children (and their families) facing tremendously challenging circumstances.
