On The August bank holiday Sunday 28th at around midday I will have brushed out my wig, put on the slap, taken the Bette Davis dress out of mothballs and dragged up for the first time since my heydays in the 80's. I will be walking from Hythe through Sandgate and into Folkestone in the thickest disguise I can muster up in order to raise money for our local Pilgrims Hospice. I want to raise at least £2,000 on the day and with any luck make a presentation at the Constitutional Club in Folkestone the same night, that is of course if I have not been beaten up or arrested. I will also be calling in to every pub, bar, restaurant and coffee shop along the route collecting cash in my bucket cleverly disguised as a huge handbag. This all started as a joke but now I have promised to do it so 'A mans gotta do what a mans gotta do' so to speak. If you want to come along and take pictures ha ha let me know by messaging me lloydjames@lloydjames.com and I will give you all the details but if you do come along bring some extra cash on the day for my handbag (bucket) Please give generously as unfortunately none of us know whether we will one day need the services of such a wonderful place as the Pilgrims Hospice and I know that all of us have been touched by someone close who has been terminally ill. The money goes straight to the hospice so please don't let me down.
