After the success of last years event, we are again teaming up with Merseryside Police to do this fundraiser. There will be a few different faces this year, but the message is the same!!
Liverpool Unites was set up after the tragic death of Rhys Jones in Liverpool, and continues to go from strength to strength in its work with young people across Merseyside, but still requires vital donations to keep this work going.
The event is much the same as last year – we will spend the day locked in a cell in an attempt to raise the profile of this charity, raise vital funds, and to discourage young people across Merseyside from getting involved in crime.
This year, Liverpool Unites have released a DVD to promote their message, which is to encourage young people to ‘walk away’ from crime.
This event is part of a Police open day on 21.08.11 at Bromborough Police Station on the Wirral, and we will be in the cells from 10am – 6pm. Please support us by making an on line donation, or by visiting us on the day
