I am thrilled to be able to take part in the 2008 London Marathon and at the same time be able to raise funds for a local charity - ARTHUR RANK HOSPICE. The Charity works in partnership with the NHS to support patients and their families at the hospice in Cambridge. Arthur Rank Hospice not only offers terminal care, but also provides valuable symptom control amd rehabilitation to improve the patient`s quality of life throughout their illness. The charity is totally responsible for funding the `Day Hospice` and also funds the `Hospice at Home` service.

I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience of the London Marathon last year and have some very special memories of the day, so I know roughly what to expect in April, and I can`t wait! My training is going well, and I am even hopeful I may be able to get round slightly quicker than last year ( 5hrs), but if I don`t , it`ll be fantastic to be part of such an incredible event and raise as much sponsorship as I can for such a caring charity.
