The Challenge: To cycle from London 2 Monte Carlo in 11 days covering a distance of 1500km
A group of 6 friends; Ed Lovatt, Robert Pile, Joe Sladen, Martin Baker, Alex Ashburner and Rob Greenwood.
Ed Lovatt and Rob Pile came up with the idea after they kayaked the length of the River Thames together in 2010 for charity. Following the success of this adventure they carefully recruited a team of friends to take on the cycling challenge. Starting on September 6th 2012 the team of 6 cyclists will congregate at Tower Bridge, London, where they will set off towards Dover and beyond. The route will take the team through the French countryside, past the Alps and arriving finally in Monte Carlo after covering a mammoth 1500km on the 17th September 2012 which the equivalent of running 10 consecutive marathons!!!
