War Child is striving for a world in which no child's life is torn apart by war. We protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children living in war zones across the world. Your support today will help us reach even more children in need.

Story

Having kicked a ball, and shared high-5s with the innocent children of war, it was clear that War Child should be my charity.  If they can run from war, the least I can do is a few miles myself to make their lives a little better when they complete their journey.

August shall see Christopher Brown (running for Mental Health Foundation) and I run from London to Paris. We shall be utilising the Newhaven to Dieppe crossing and running a total of approximately 163 miles. Everything we need for the journey shall be carried by ourselves.

Since 1993, War Child has been working tirelessly to support children affected by war.  And do it because it's children that suffer most when conflict breaks out.

Time is critical when it comes to protecting children so they do their best to respond to an emergency as soon as it happens.  Right now, War Child is on the ground in seven war zones, working with - and for - these vulnerable children.

Giving them an education and helping them develop vital life-skills, War Child provide the support, time and space children need to come to terms with the horrors they've experienced, and campaign to ensure their rights and needs are not forgotten.

£20 Could provide a school kit for a former street working child to be reintegrated into school.

£65 Could cover the running costs for a War Child pre-school centre for one week.

£200 Could kit out a classroom with tables, chairs and teaching equipment.

£1k (TARGET) Could save a child's life by reuniting them with their family or a safe foster family.

Please give what you can, no matter how small, and if all I manage to do is highlight the work of War Child, I am happy.
