Virgin London Marathon 2014 · 13 April 2014 ·

We’re the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We’re determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Our vision is a future where nobody dies of the disease.

Story

Why?
  • More than 40,000 men and women are diagnosed with bowel cancer every year in the UK, this equates to someone every 15 minutes, with nearly 40% loosing their lives.
  • Testing in recent years has led to early diagnosis and the possibility of more people surviving, with your help more testing can be done and together we can save lives.
  • I was fortunate that early testing led to my mum over-coming this disease and I want to help others improve their chances of survival and raise awareness for what is the second most common cause of cancer death in the UK.

Me

I started training 8 months ago and have recenty completed the Reading half-marathon in preparation and have already covered > 500km this year alone.

On the 13th April, I will line-up in London to cover the 26.2 miles, your pledge will keep me going, your pledge will save lives!

Donations of all sizes are truly welcome.
