The Brentwood Roman Catholic Diocesan Trust enables groups and individuals within the Diocese to fundraise for local good causes.

Story

Adele Moggan (Mum of Siobhan who used to be a volunteer at Walsingham House) has kindly offered to run the London marathon on behalf of the Brentwood Catholic Youth Service.

The Brentwood Catholic Youth Service works with young people from Essex and East London, and helps to involve them in social action, personal spiritual development and lots of social stuff too - our aim is to make the faith of the Young People alive and active - helping them to develop their Faith knowledge and understanding, and discern their vocation!  We run a Retreat Centre for Young People in Canvey Island, called Walsingham House and each year we have a team of young volunteers that work as peer ministers to thousands of young people from the schools and parishes of our Diocese.  We also aim to support those adults working with young people either in school or in parishes, and more information about the events that we run can be found on www.bcys.net (along with many lovely photos that give a feel for what we do!)

Please feel free to contact us for more information about BCYS, Walsingham House or BCYA (the young adult group that we support) by emailing info@bcys.net

Please support Adele in helping to fundraise for us - this money will go towards helping support Walsingham House as I know this is the area of our work that Adele knows best!
