The six of us have decided to challenge ourselves with a cycle from London to Paris. Leaving on Wednesday 5 May from Blackheath, we expect to arrive under the Eiffel Tower at lunchtime on Saturday 8 May.

None of us owned a bike when we agreed to do this so there's plenty of training to do. Sore bottoms all round.

We're hoping to raise £9000. Our donation will go to Springhill Hospice. Springhill is an amazing place that cares for people in the last days of their lives. Their saying is "we can't add days to our patients' lives but we can add life to their days"

Springhill cared for Andy T's mum in the last two months of her life and it's the dedication and care that he witnessed that has inspired this trip. It takes £2 mill a year to run the Hospice of which 70% needs to come from fundraising.
