Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving London to Paris page.
Between the 21 and 23 September Hugh ‘the Windbreak’ Fraser (who last rode a bike in 2003!) and Stefan ‘The Racing Snake’ Gunn are undertaking the challenge of cycling from London to Paris, a 420km cycle (140km per day!) taking in the sights and sounds of both the UK and France. The challenge starts from Twickenham and finishes at the Trocadero Gardens, opposite the Eiffel Tower, where we can sit back and relax with a glass of bubbly/beer!
We’re doing this mammoth challenge for the NSPCC alongside team ‘Rugbytots’, because we believe passionately that there are few things more important in this country than a child's right to grow up without cruelty or violence. The NSPCC do a staggering job in their endless pursuit to stop abuse and cruelty to children. Childline, as an example, is a lifeline to some children and the thought of there not being enough operators to answer a distressed call is enough to get us on the bike for three days of soreness! Rugbytots works hard to build childrens confidence in a safe and structured environment and it is a shocking thought for any child to be abused or harmed in anyway. http://www.rugbytots.co.uk/
