Heart Link, was originally formed as a support group for parents and families who have a child suffering from a heart defect. Since 1981 we have collected over £4 million pounds. This has been used to fund projects large and small. Thank you for supporting us!

Story

In 2009, 3 motorcyclists will ride just over 1000 miles from Calais to Budapest in a bid to raise a minimum of £10,000 for Heart Link, the children's heart charity based at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester.

Why?
In 1996 one of the riders, Graham, and his wife Debbie, saw their first child born with a hole-in-the-heart, which led the way to their first contact with Heart Link.  Then, in 2003, tragedy struck again and the family found themselves on the receiving end of that same support after their second daughter, Molly, also needed intensive medical treatment but, unfortunately, she didn't make the same full recovery as her sister and the family had to deal with the news that she may never be able to walk or talk and would have to deal with learning difficulties.
This life changing event could so easily have caused Graham & Debbie to retreat into themselves yet, through this adversity, they continued to give their time to Heart Link and to offer their personal support to other families facing similar challenges. In 2008, Molly was accepted for a course of conductive learning at the world renowned Peto institute in Budapest, Hungary.
