I'm raising vital funds for CLIC Sargent and I hope I can count on your support of this fantastic charity.
Every day 10 families are told their child has cancer. As the UK's leading children's cancer charity, CLIC Sargent is the only organisation to offer them all round care and support and if you could see these little children so bravely dealing with a condition that they don't really understand, helped by dedicated staff working tirelessly to make them more comfortable and keep their spirits up, then I am sure you would do whatever you can to help however small.
To help raise funds for the charity I am embarking on a rather unusual expedition. With a Harley-Davidson (Electra Glide Ultra Classic) as my trusty steed I, and five others, will be riding 10,000 miles in an anti-clockwise direction around the Mediterranean, starting on the border between Spain and France. Roads will often still be in a local official's pile of 'bright ideas' and I suspect that many of the locals will give us an interesting time, particularly in the more remote areas but we will go from France through Spain, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Turkey, Macedonia, Bosnia Croatia, Italy, Monaco and back to France then on to the UK. Along the was we will be passing many of the most impressive of the World Heritage Sites. Whatever, it will be an adventure and not without its upsets! That is a given! One thing's for sure - we'll all be walking like John Wayne when we get off at the end!
