As you know, Marvin was always up for a new challenge and now I am about to embrace a challenge of my own. I will be embarking on a trip to Peru where I will be participating in a 5 day trek to raise money for The Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Trust. The trip includes 5 days of rigid trekking for 8-9 hours per day. I’ll be sleeping ‘out in the rough’, in a tent, without all my usual luxuries! With Marvin in my thoughts, I hope that his constant strength and positive attitude will help guide me along the way.The aim of this trip is to raise money for the MS Trust, in order to support them in the fantastic work that they do, providing help and support to those suffering with the illness and enabling them to develop scientific research in the hope that one day, in the near future, they will find a cure.
I like to think Marvin was a great inspiration to all who knew him, as I know he was to me. In completing this challenge of my own, I hope that I am continuing the good work that he believed in and was so passionate about.
The trip is taking place in April 2010 and my target is to raise £3,250 by January 2010. I will be fully self-funding this trip and therefore all monies raised will go directly to The Multiple Sclerosis Trust.
