London Bridges Walk · 13 February 2007

We are the largest charity dedicated to kidney research in the UK. Kidney disease ruins and destroys lives. Treatments are gruelling, relentless. There is no cure. We say this isn't good enough. We will transform kidney health. Kidney disease ends here.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

UPDATE!!!!  I DID IT!!!  In the pouring rain, wearing a big polythene bag with a hood, I did it!!  We managed the walk in about 3 hours, and had great fun doing it.  I've managed to raise over £1,100 including the gift aid tax thingy, so a huge thank you to everyone who donated towards that total.  Every penny is very much appreciated.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

And just in case you still wish to donate, this page will be active for another couple of months, until the end of August!!!

Obviously Kidney Research is a charity very close to home - without the work of Kidney Research and whoever it was that donated their kidney, I probably wouldn't be here today to do this walk!

We'll be walking over 8 of London's most recognised bridges over the Thames, a distance of about 7 miles which is a bloody long walk for me!!!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Kidney Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now either online here or in person!  You don't need to sponsor Hamish - he's the one on the right of the photo, he's my training partner but he'll stay here guarding the house while I'm away in London.

And there's just one more thing you could do to help, probably even more important than donating cash - agree to donate your organs after your death!  Please sign the UK donor register today - http://www.uktransplant.org.uk/ukt/how_to_become_a_donor/registration/consent.jsp

Of the 7,672 people on the national organ waiting list, 6,909 of them need a kidney

Thank you!!!!!
