Hi, I am hoping to run the London Marathon this year and emerge in one piece.
I will be running in aid of Leonard Cheshire Disability, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of disabled people through a network of homes, providing equipment and campaigning for equality.
I recently visited St Cecelia's in Bromley where 30 people benefit from modern facilities, a beautiful garden and the help of a team of selfless volunteers. Without Leonard Cheshire the lives of many of the residents, most of whom suffer from degenerative diseases, would be very difficult indeed. I was impressed by the kindness of the staff, top of the range equipment and the tasty lasagna . But most of all I was given a huge welcome by residents like Ranjana and Bob who say their lives have been transformed by the charity.
If you want to help Leonard Cheshire continue its work any small contribution will be gratefully received.
Thank you
Louise
