<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>Unfortunately, we all know someone who has been diagnosed with this terrible disease - Breast Cancer. I have had two members of my own family and several family friends who are recovering or fighting the battle against this illness and as a young women I know that in the future it could strike my own friends - or myself!</p> <p>I have watched these great events on TV and listened to the stories behind the runners and for a few hours I have been inspired to do something myself, but then life takes over and the moment to join in has passed.</p> <p>When I joined Newcastle Uni last year I thought it would be a great oppotunity to actually get up and do something for others instead of just watching. So, that is how I became involved in the The Great North Run.</p> <p>It's a massive event for the North East and I'm thrilled to have been accepted to run for the Breast Cancer Campaign Team along with running pal Charlotte Newton.Trainning has started and I'll keep you updated as to how its going and yes - I will be running in PINK!</p> <p>I hope you can support me and this brilliant charity.
