LOUISE & LAURA'S SKYDIVE

UPDATE 2010

Hi all!  Just to advise that we've finally got a confirmed date again for the skydive!  We're now due to be completing the jump 3rd July 2010.  Hopefully all will go well and we'll finally get to throw ourselves out the plane, I know it's a prospect a lot of you have been looking forward to! :)  Thanks to all for your patience while we've been getting this resolved, very much appreciated!

**Update** 03/08/09

We have had a letter from the St Andrews Skydive company advising that they are still awaiting documents in order for them to reopen, therefore the skydive has been postponed again! Will let you know when we receive a new date.

**Update** 02/07/09

The skydive has been rescheduled to Saturday 8th August due to CAA Issues.

Thanks very much for taking the time to visit our page, muchos appreciated!  We're going to be doing a sponsored tandem skydive on August 8th which will involve jumping from approx 10,000 feet and freefalling at around 120mph before deploying the parachute and sailing on down (fingers crossed!) God help the instructor we jump with, eardrums may take a bashing..! But don't worry, we haven't gone mad(der), it's for a good cause! We're looking to raise as much money as possible to donate to The Archie Foundation.

The Archie Foundation are the official charity for the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital and Community Based Child Health throughout Grampian and the Northern Isles. They work relentlessly with their 'Making the Difference' scheme providing facilities such as the 20 room Parent Accommodation Suite for parents free of charge regardless of the duration of the stay, new medical equipment, toys, staff specialist training and consistent support for families to ensure that we have the best possible care available during the hardest of times.

We'll be paying for the jump ourselves so any donations you make will go direct to the cause. We're hoping to raise at least £500 so all donations will be very much appreciated in helping us achieve our goal. Any vodka bought after the jump to help calm our nerves will also be very well received...

Wish us luck!!
