Story

WOW! The London Marathon - one of the most fantastic days of my life. An unbelievable atmosphere. The crowds were so supportive. They screamed your name, offered you sweets, oranges and words of encouragement. Police officers shouting "Come on Louise!". So much music!!!... brass bands, ethnic drumming, discos with DJ's (my two favourite songs of the day "This is the way to Amarillo" with all the runners clapping along and "We are walking on sunshine" with us laughing as we got soaked). All those 6am rises and hard training runs payed off as I missed hitting the "wall". Had a perfect race, loved every minute, got a time of 5 hours 54mins and managed to run (although pretty slow at times!) all the way. As for all of you, thank you so much - an amazing amount raised for brain tumour reaearch and patient care. You are all so generous - I have been overwhelmed!!!!!!!
