My story
Dear friends,
On Sunday 18th March 2012, from 9:30am I will be running the Liverpool Half Marathon alongside my boyfriend Dom and his Dad, Tony.
I am raising money for the homeless shelter I volunteer at, Shelter from the Storm, based in Islington, North London. It is an independent night shelter, open all year round and run completely by volunteers. It is a great place, full of hope for people struggling and trying to start afresh.
My official running career has so far only consisted of a locally organised 5km (3.1 miles) run, so this race is going to be a brilliant achievement for me if I can make it through the full 13.1 miles!
My 12 week training plan has begun so there's no turning back now.
If you'd like to show your support by donating some of your fine English pounds, then this is the place to do so.
