Story

Hi Hazelnuts,

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in support of The British Heart Foundation.

As an Olympic Heptathlete and Commonwealth Gold Medallist I am The British Heart Foundation Running Champion.

Having lost my father to heart disease in 2008,  I know all too well how the impact of heart-related illness effects everyday people on a daily basis, and it's now my mission to help motivate, inspire and encourage you all to lead healthier lifestyles.... and get you across that finish line!

I will be leading a celebrity team in the 5k at Hyde Park on the 4th October. They have all been training their socks off to make sure they are in top form, so please donate what you can to help keep them motivated and help us raise money for this amazing cause.

Once you donate, JustGiving will send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs.

PLEASE WELCOME TEAM HAZEL 2014!

Heart disease is the UK's Single biggest killer, in the UK it kills more women than breast cancer and can devastate the lives of families. Founded in 1961 by a group of medical professionals, The British Heart Foundation is now the UK's number one heart charity.

Each year the BHF hosts 13 running events across the country, which attract over 20,000 runner and raises in excess of £2million. The Hyde Park 5k and 10k run is one of the biggest run events organised by The British Heart Foundation and is returning on Saturday 4th October 2014 within the beautiful surrounds of Hyde Park Corner.

Thank you for your donation!
