I always thought cancer was something that happened to other people, that was until I discovered a lump and was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2014.

I got through a very tough year of treatment with the support of my amazing family and friends.

Unfortunately 2 weeks after my treatment finished in December my mother-in-law was diagnosed with aggressive pancreatic cancer. She was not as lucky as me and sadly died in February 2015.

As a family we have had a difficult year and I had planned to run with both my daughters, sister, niece and cousin to celebrate the end of a tough journey. Myself, Holly and Amy will now also be running in the memory of Margaret Nash a wonderful mother-in-law and "crazy Nanna" who we all love and miss dearly!
