Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-shortening genetic condition that slowly destroys the lungs and digestive system. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity fighting for a life unlimited, when everyone living with CF can look forward to a long, healthy life. www.cysticfibrosis.org.uk

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Running in The London Marathon is not only a personal challenge but also motivated by the opportunity to raise much needed funds for The Cystic Fibrosis Trust. This is a charity close to my heart because a young friend of mine, Erica, suffers with this devastating disease. A few months' "hard labour" for me is nothing in comparison with the courage and enthusiasm with which Erica and her family live their lives every day, despite the enormous strain CF puts on them and others like them.

This is my chance to do something practical to help win the battle against CF. Remember that scientists are literally on the brink of discovering a drug to cure CF so please dig deep and give generously so that we can all make a difference.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cystic Fibrosis Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Thank you for your support, Fi.
(PS: Look out for number 10725 !!)
