Sheffield Half Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Following rigorous trials and a demanding selection process, a super-fit team of athletes has been carefully chosen from the Finance Departments of the Corus Long Products Business in Rotherham and Scunthorpe.

Well we managed to get together six willing volunteers, plus we have a special guest appearance from James Lugg (who as a PE Teacher is likely to be fitter than a balance of Accountants!).

As the first event in our ten year programme, we've entered the Sheffield Half Marathon Corporate Team Challenge, which means that we will be competing against other business or service organisations which may include other Accountants or even Estate Agents.

We are raising money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society which is a very worthy cause:

The MS Society does some great work supporting people with multiple sclerosis; running valuable programmes to improve the quality of life of those affected. They also fund research into the cause, cure and symptoms associated with this often devastating condition.

We would be very appreciative of your sponsorship.
