Story

Back to the finish line!

With a lot of hard work, determination and only one puncture, the LSH 2009 cycle team made it across the finish line at Midsummer Common at around 4.30pm.  It took us a total of 6.5 hours to complete the 60 mile course, ensuring we stopped to fill up our water bottles and mend any bike problems along the way, leaving us all exultant at our achievement.

The weather held nicely, enough warmth to keep us sweating but enough cloud cover to stop any burning, and the reward of beer at the finish line was a welcome end to our efforts.

We would like to thank everyone who has supported us in our aim to raise money for CLIC, and are pleased to see that the donations are still trickling in, pushing us further past the £3,000 mark.

If you would like any additional information or photographs to be sent to you then please feel free to get in contact (csearle@lsh.co.uk).

Thank you again from everyone in the Team.

We have hit £2,000!!

The team is really please that we have matched last years total :)

We are very thankful to all those who have given us a juicy amount to cycle for - this money will go far in helping CLIC to bring comfort & relief to the children and families they are dedicated to helping.

But this doesn't mean we are taking a back seat now, oh no...we are determined to plough on and try to raise as much as possible in these last 4 days before the cycle.  It is a long course to bike, and with the weather being all too wet lately, we are checking the website regularly as each donation adds that little bit of drive to our enthusiasm.  If we are going to cycle through the bad weather and steep hills we want to know we are really making a difference, and your donations are telling us that it is well worth 60 miles of leg work and the saddle sore that will no doubt follow!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After everyones generous donations so far we think we can really go for gold and beat last years total of £2,000 - I have just updated our target to reflect this, so please support us and help us towards our new goal!

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

We, the LSH Cycle Team 2009, plan to peddle our way across 60 miles of tough terrain to get all the way from to !

This will be a testing journey which most of the team took upon themselves last year where we raised a staggering £2,000 for CLIC Sargent.  We are hoping to raise £1,500 this year although ideally we would love to beat last years figures and push to make as much of a difference as we can.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: CLIC Sargent gets your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now and give us something to cycle for!
