Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you may know, Stuart's (my partner) mother was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. She is now approaching the end of her chemotherapy and doing very well, and we are all hoping to have very good news soon.

This is not the first time that cancer hits close to home, and I want to help out a little bit by contributing to the excellent work carried out by charity workers. I am training to run the Bupa Great South Run in Portsmouth on 25 October. It's 10 miles (16 kilometres), the longest I have ever run, and need your help to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. They do stirling work in their Research Centres as well as running campaigns to ensure that patients have access to the best possible care.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

***UPDATE 8/10/09*** you guys are amazing - I got 150% of my target in under a day. I've raise the target now - can we raise half a grand? I know we can. Thank you all!! :-)
