Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page...
THIS IS OUR TEAM: LUCHO MUCHO
We are 7 "luchadores" that want to participate in the Mongol Rally this year. Briefing the whole deal, it’s a rally organized by amazing NGOS with the goal of raising money for great projects and charities. Also we need to get a vehicle that we will drive half of the world (From LONDON to Mongolia) and donate it once we arrive to our destination: Ulaan Bataar, Mongolia's Capitol City !!!
As you can see, the Mongol Rally isn't just about adventure, it's also about raising
huge sacks of cash for some great charities.
Here's how it works:
Each team will vote for a charity/proyect they want to support, however the total sum will be send to the one (or the ones) that receive more votes.
We chose a project called "EduRelief" which is an amazing program to provide Mongolian students with the books they need to pursue their education.
As for our country, we are all mexicans, and very proud to be. I mean, don't get us wrong, we also have a strong compromise level with many other regions and places around the world (thus our participation in this rally instead of just raising money for our country) But eee... not only Mongolia is in need of these altruistic projects, also countries like ours.
That is why we came out with: "YO LUCHO MUCHO POR..."
With the idea that we will be not only raising money for Mongolia, we will work hard to raise the same amount (£1,000 -around $30,000 pesos) for a mexican project.
So remember, for both donations... is not about just sending food aid or clothing (which does help in certain way) It is about helping those in need to create their own opportunities for them to succeed! Kinda the teach 'em how to fish story ;)
